Your promises

When submitting a profile to the public library, you confirm that the descriptions and sources are provided in good faith, that each layer’s rights status is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are permitted to make it publicly available.

Licence to operate the public library

You grant HB Map Layers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, resize, tile, cache, display and distribute the submitted profile and its public layers for operation, promotion and preservation of the public map library. You can withdraw future public display, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention.

Community improvements

Suggestions do not automatically change a map. Owners or managers decide whether to accept them. Factual corrections and field observations should identify their source and uncertainty.
